The (Un)Fair Advantage
Life, Work & Play
Someone recently asked me how I feel, knowing that there are privileged people who don’t need to work as hard to reach half the place where I want to be.
“Do you feel bad?”
“Do you think of it?”
Yes. I have thought of it & during the initial days, it used to make me upset and angry.
“How do you handle it?”
After thinking consciously, I have come to a conclusion that yes, life is unfair but I have an unfair advantage too. We all do.
I was born to the best set of parents. Compared to the others, I had the freedom to do whatever I want and would get unconditional support from them. This is a privilege that a lot of people don’t have. Specially the women in my village.
This is my unfair advantage. You see, we all have an unfair advantage in our life.
What should we do?
Use your unfair advantage to create advantage for others.
How am I doing it?
I started a scholarship!
A girl contacted me telling her parents slapped her when she asked about travelling and presenting papers at space conference.
Mine supported me even though the whole community was against it.
I firmly believe, none should be denied an opportunity only because of the place they were born it.
So, the scholarship. It’s called “Send her to Space”.
How does it work?

Occams Razor: In a meeting with Ankur Warikoo, he mentioned about the Occams Razor. It means that The simplest answer is usually the best and right.
Why aren’t they replying? Cuz they are busy.
Why didn’t they come yet? Maybe got stuck in traffic, running late.
Easy right? Helps a lot with overthinking!
